The Penguins dropped their third consecutive game,
falling to the Norfolk Admirals, 6-3, at the Scope
on Friday night.
The three-game skid is the longest since the Pens
lost a trio of games between Feb. 19-24, 2006, and
saw the team's record slip to 29-12-2-3.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton actually held the lead early
in the game, as Tom Gilbert's shorthanded tally just
4:25 into play gave the Pens a 1-0 advantage.
But Norfolk found the back of the net five times
in a row to take a 5-1 lead midway through the third
period.
Daniel Carcillo and Jonathan Filewich sandwiched
goals around Craig MacDonald's 12th goal of the season
to make the score respectable.
A series of fisticuffs, which saw former Penguin
David Koci square off with Wade Brookbank while Dennis
Bonvie took on Reed Low, wound up the evening's proceedings.
The Penguins return home, where they have won four
consecutive contests, on Saturday night. The Pens
will host the Hamilton Bulldogs and salute local military
members by wearing commemorative camoflagued sweaters.
