PITTSBURGH PENGUINS ACQUIRE TIM BRENT IN EXCHANGE FOR STEPHEN DIXON

 

Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired center Tim Brent from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for center Stephen Dixon.

Brent appeared in 15 games for the Ducks last season, registering one goal and six penalty minutes.  He played in 48 games with the Portland Pirates, the AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, posting 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 2006-07.

The 6-0, 197 pound native of Cambridge, Ontario was selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round (37th overall) of the 2002 Entry Draft.
